Practice and Learning Center

Shawnee has a Practice and Learning Center that includes a Practice Range, Short Game Area, and two Putting Greens and 3 Hole Youth Golf Course.

Practice balls may be purchased in three sizes, Small (25 balls/$3.00), Medium (45 balls/$5.00) and Large (70 balls/$7.00). Players who wish to use the Practice Range and Short Game Area must purchase their practice balls beforehand in the Golf Shop.

Shawnee Golf Course, now for a limited time is offering Frequent Range Cards.  The Frequent Range Cards can be purchased for incredible savings to serious golfer looking to use the range facilities frequently.  These Range Cards are available in the following options:

$400.00 Range Card - for  $800 worth of balls  Best Value!!!!  A 50% off savings

$250 Range Card for $400.00 worth of balls- a 37.5% Savings

$100 Range Card for $125.00 worth of balls - 25% Savings

$40 Range Card for $50.00 worth of balls - 12.5% Savings

These range cards have terms and conditions that apply.  Please inquire in the golf shop for a full list of the terms and conditions before you buy.

The Practice Range features all grass hitting stations. The Practice Range has an area for the general public, and a separate teeing area reserved for use by authorized groups and for individual and group lessons given by the Shawnee Golf Course Professional Staff and The First Tee of Louisville. When utilizing the Practice Range, please hit from the designated stations in the appropriate area.

The Short Game Area is located on the right side of the Practice Range, and has a large green and a bunker. Players may hit chips, pitches up to 10 yards, and greenside sand shots in this area only. Players using the Short Game Area do so at their own risk. Please be aware of other golfers who may be practicing at the same time.  (NOTE:  Please care for the course - any ball marks must be fixed by the user)

Two Practice Greens are available for putting. The largest green is in conjunction with the Short Game Area, and a smaller green is located by the #1 Tee of the Course. The green by the #1 Tee is for PUTTING ONLY. Please use the Short Game Area to practice chipping and pitching.

AT&T Youth Golf Course - Shawnee Golf Course is also home of the AT&T Youth Golf Course.  This course is a 3 Hole Youth Course FREE for anyone 18 and under.
